Examples of activities to be practised in the surroundings

The pedestrian excursion 
From the house you can leave to foot to the castle (500 m) then to return to the balsam (700 m) and to walk in the vines, the olive-trees and the orchards. On the Top of the hill
(200 m) you see the Mount Ventoux, Alpilles, Gardon... You can also go down in the village, to the edge of Gardon.

The GR. 6 passes to 200 m of the house, it follows the way of the Aqueduct and passes by the Bridge of Gard. In Sernhac (4 km), it passes inside one of the vestiges of the aqueduct.

The visits of historic sites 
They are innumerable and start in the village with the Beaume (the largest apier of France listed to date, dug by monks in the rock to raise there bees and which is in the course of restoration, visit in the open air, free. They continue in all the area (castles of Beaucaire, Tarascon, Barbentane with 10 mn, then the Palate of the Popes of Avignon with 20 mn and arenas of Nimes or Arles with 30 mn...). We hold of the leaflets and the prepared circuits at your disposal.

Markets, empty attics and secondhand trades 
For the chineurs and the collectors. We know the days of the markets. That of Uzès,
saturdays morning is one of the largest and of the most attended in the area.

Regular secondhand trades take place each week with Beaucaire, Nimes and Carpentras. They start in spring and last all the summer. Secondhand trades take place several times per year in each village.

The bicycle touring 
There exist innumerable ways in the orchards very close to the house and which you can traverse on long distances. In each village there are fountains where you can refresh yourselves.

The VTT 
the area is undulating but not too much, it makes the happiness of the beginners like senior touring cyclists.

The climbing and canoé in Collias (20 km) 
In the throats of Gardon, in the heart of a very famous splendid site for the climbing ones.

Fishing 
With the blow or the throw the gardon east is a river of 2nd category, very full of fish. There are charts of fishing for the estivants (for 15 days consecutive of June 1st to September 30th). The channel of the Rhone  (7km) is also very full of fish. To 20 km Alzon where one fishes trout...

The votive festivals 
Each city or village have its arenas in which races camarguaises proceed (the goal is to catch a preceded rosette fixed on the horns of the bulls). These festivals put in scene the bulls which are launched in the streets (with barriers). Gardians with horse camarguais, show us the work of sorting, framing of the bulls... The goal is to try to catch the tail
of a bull then to immobilize it (reserved with the bold ones.)
